No matter where you are in your education journey, there’s a path for you:

In Colorado, you can find registered teacher apprenticeships through the Colorado Department of Education (these are called Teacher Degree Apprenticeship Programs), school districts and organizations like educational service centers. In most apprenticeships, you’ll work in a school and take college classes outside of school hours.

Once you find an apprenticeship program in your area, you’ll follow the school district or organization’s application process.
In many Colorado programs, you’ll be hired as a teacher or long-term substitute with a special apprenticeship credential. You may already be working in a school as a paraeducator (also called a paraprofessional, teacher’s aide or teaching assistant).
When you get hired, your apprenticeship program will help connect you to a partner college so you can start the classes you need for your teaching license.
