Peetz Plateau School District RE-5 is a high performing accredited PK-12 district with about 166 students.

The district is housed in one school building divided into three schools: Peetz Elementary School serving PK-6 grades, Peetz Junior High School serving grades 7-8 and Peetz High School serving grades 9-12. The district employs 17 licensed staff members and two administrators.

Our school app allows us to post pictures and activities in real time to keep our community and parents up to date with everything our students are doing and learning.

    The town of Peetz is located along the northern boundary of Logan County two miles from the Nebraska state line. Sterling, Colo. is 26 miles south of Peetz and Sidney, Nebraska is 16 miles north. The district encompasses approximately 376 square miles. Farming and ranching provide the main economic backbone of the district. Some of the major perks to teaching at Peetz include:

  • Salary, Compensation & Benefits

    Salary ranges from $32,876-51,434. All breakdowns can be found on our website, peetzschool.org. 

    The district pays $600 of the insurance, which more than covers the single person coverage with some extra to their Health Savings Account. The district has also found ways to help further education, as well as provide opportunities at PD specific to interest and class or subject specifics.
