Amy Starnes

At Colorado Christian University, I earned my bachelor’s degree in elementary education. As a pastor’s wife, mother and employee, attending classes on a traditional campus seemed impossible. CCU offered classes from a Christian perspective, and the online format let me accomplish a lifelong goal.

Program Info

CCU’s Master of Education in Special Education program will give you the tools to begin your professional career in special education. You’ll develop critical thinking skills as you study data from educational theory, practice and research, and explore current issues in the special education field. The The M.Ed. in Special Education program covers both traditional and innovative approaches, including best practices and strategies in public, private, charter and international K-12 education. This degree program is ideal if you want to ensure high-quality instruction for students with disabilities. The M.Ed. in Special Education program offers both licensure and non-licensure tracks. You can earn your license either through the M.Ed. in Special Education licensure path or through CCU’s Alternative Licensing emphasis. Consider the non-licensure track if you already have a teaching license or if you’re seeking a Generalist endorsement.
