Program Info

The alternative licensure program at MSU Denver is a challenging and rigorous teacher preparation program that includes professional coursework, seminars, observation and in-class coaching. It is explicitly designed to help you learn to be a quality teacher. The program offers one and two-year options depending on your experience. 

The alternative licensure program is designed for recent undergraduates or professionals currently working as teachers of record in Pre-K through grade 12 classrooms who want to obtain a Colorado teaching license. This program offers in-person classes, instructors who are master teachers and the opportunity to develop effective teaching techniques.
