The first courses in our Master's program focus on the foundational understanding of using technology to support teaching and learning. It includes foundations in instructional design, learning theory, and cognitive science. At the end of the six courses, students build an online portfolio to house their best work and also design an action research project focused on how to support learners.

The second year focuses on the application of technology in learning. You will focus on mobile technology, digital storytelling, UX design, and other current topics, considering how to apply technology effectively. The capstone project includes a final portfolio of learning throughout the program as well as the write-up of a final action research project

All course content is focused on application. Throughout the program, you'll apply what you're learning immediately to instructional situations through lesson plans, instructional media, video content, etc. Students also have the option to engage in a practicum experience focused on what it's like to be a technology leader within a K-12 school or organization.
