Sargent School District is comprised of three schools—Sargent Elementary (K-6), Sargent Junior High (7-8) and Sargent High School (9-12). Schools are housed in two buildings: The elementary building is a historic building constructed in 1917, then remodeled in 1990 and upgraded again in 2010. The secondary building houses grades 7-12; it was built in 2010, a BEST construction project.
Junior high classes are located on the first floor, with secondary classrooms on the second. The 2019-20 school year is the first year instituting the Leader in Me program. Teachers and students are embracing the opportunities for learning and leadership available through the program. Sargent is known for small class sizes and high academic standards.
Secondary Programs include expanding STEM options (new for 2020-21 will be an aviation program), HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America), Business and Spanish, award-winning Science and Agriculture programs and leading-edge technology. Elementary students also benefit from our district’s technology program along with academic-based field trips, including reading achievement. Art and technology classes, swim lessons and ski days are also provided. Professional development is provided through the Leader in Me Program and is also available during the school year on an individualized basis.
The district is on a four-day (Monday-Thursday) schedule.
