The East Central Board of Cooperative Educational Services Alternative Licensure Program prepares outstanding professional educators who make a difference in their communities. Actively serving rural educators, the program provides teacher candidates with the professional knowledge they'll need in the classroom, while supporting the unique needs of on-the-job trainees. The most successful EC BOCES Alternative Licensure Teacher Candidates not only see themselves as teachers, but as leaders and advocates in service to others. Our teachers feel like a part of a larger community because they are often recruited straight out of the small town in which they live and teach, giving them a vested interest in working to make sure all children reach their potential.
