
The Northeast Colorado BOCES Alternative Teacher Licensure Program is a one-year design comprised of a minimum of 225 hours of planned instruction and activities that align with the Colorado Teacher Quality Standards. Learning is fostered through various activities across many platforms, including in-person training, Zoom sessions, instructional coaching, mentoring, book studies, and evaluation. Candidates must demonstrate competence and completion of classroom and online instruction in classroom management, content, literacy, mathematics, instructional strategies, planning practices, curriculum and standard alignment, assessment and feedback practices, accommodations and modifications, teacher clarity, learning progressions, technology integration, diversity, culturally-linguistically-diverse learning, educational governance, professional practices, etc.
