The Northwest BOCES is an educational service organization that provides services and support to 7 school districts in northwest Colorado. Our programs and services include special education, alternative teacher licensing, educator induction and professional learning.

The NW BOCES Alternative Licensure Program is a state approved non traditional licensure program offfered to eligible candidates. This program is designed for the individual who would like to become a licensed teacher in Colorado, but has not completed a traditional teacher licensure program through a college or university. The program is a one year "on the job" teacher preparation training experience. Our goal is to increase access to effective teachers for all students in the NW BOCES region.
