About

The Public Education and Business Coalition (PEBC) is a Denver-based non-profit organization that recruits, develops and advocates for teachers. PEBC is Colorado's largest Residency program, having prepared over 1,000 highly effective teachers across Colorado. Today, PEBC offers five pathways to teaching:

New American Pathway

As a PEBC Teacher Residency participant, you will be trained over one year and supported by expert instructors and coaches committed to your success. Residency experiences are offered in public, private and charter schools in rural, urban and suburban schools across Colorado. PEBC welcomes culturally diverse candidates, including multilingual learners.

Pre-Bachelor’s Pathway

AdvanceEDU is a nonprofit that helps learners pursue online certificate and degree programs through personalized success coaching and career coaching. We are proud to partner with PEBC, the provider of Colorado's largest alternative pathways to professional teacher licensure. Together, we are working to create cohorts of future teachers who are more representative of Colorado's students. In addition, 90 percent of AdvanceEDU learners don't have student loan debt.

In AdvanceEDU and PEBC's Pre-Bachelor's Pathway, you'll earn your bachelor's degree on your own schedule. While earning your degree through CSU Global, AdvanceEDU will give you guidance, coaching and assistance in finding funding to complete your degree. PEBC will help you connect with other educators and support you in preparing for a paid position or paid residency while earning your license.

Grants, Stipends, Scholarships

90 percent of the learners AdvanceEDU supports don’t take on any student loan debt as they attend college. We support each income-qualifying learner in finding ways to reduce or eliminate the out-of-pocket cost of tuition through federal financial aid, scholarships, employer tuition assistance or community partnerships.
