University of Colorado Boulder
About
Teacher preparation has been a part of the University of Colorado Boulder since the university was established in 1876. At CU Boulder, our mission in the School of Education is grounded in a lived commitment to democracy, diversity, equity, and justice. We teach and engage in research with our colleagues in schools and communities to make a transformative difference. The work of our faculty, researchers, staff, and students contributes to evidence-based policy and practice. We aim for our graduates to be engaged and informed educators, researchers, policymakers, and community leaders.
The best part about being an education student are the connections I have been able to make with professors and graduate level students. I have enjoyed all the practicums the CU Teach program offers. I like this program, because it gave me a chance to explore actual teaching early in the program. The last thing I enjoy about the education program is the small classroom settings because it gives you an opportunity to meet other students who share similar interests.
