About
Are you a current or aspiring paraprofessional in the Denver Metropolitan area? We are ready to serve you! Teacher candidates at UNC's Center for Urban Education:
- Have jobs in schools for pay (we can help you find a position, if you are not already in the classroom).
- Pay little out of pocket for the program (our scholarships and grants can support you).
- Are members of a unique, statewide network of peers and stakeholders who provide long-term employment search support.
In 2020, the Center for Urban Education was profiled by policy center, New America, in their article, "How the Center for Urban Education in Denver is Reimagining Teacher Preparation Programs."

We can help you become the teacher you want to be. We work hard at being allies for one another across racial lines.
