Coaching is available to anyone brand-new to teaching — without a teaching credential or experience as a lead teacher in any state — who is living in the U.S., or is a U.S. citizen living abroad. If you’re not eligible for coaching, you can learn more about becoming a CO teacher with the TEACH Colorado Licensure Guide or from the Colorado Department of Education.

Carly is an 4th grade teacher in the St. Vrain Valley School District. She has been teaching 4th grade at a diverse Title 1 STEM school in Longmont, Colorado. Carly received her undergraduate degree and teaching license from Metropolitan State University in Denver and her Graduate degree in Educational Equity and Cultural Diversity from Colorado University of Boulder.

Sam is a high school science teacher in the Denver metro area. Sam entered teaching via a Masters program and has been in the classroom for eight years. He is active as an equity advocate and in inclusive curriculum development.
Sharlene has worked at the Colorado Department of Education since 2015. She supported the Early Childhood Workforce team by credentialing, answering questions on the help desk, providing technical assistance with the PDIS online site, and supervised the credential technicians. Sharlene’s new focus is on early childhood career navigation. She is excited to provide resources, opportunities, and guidance to early childhood professionals.
My name is Sarah. I have been teaching 4th, 5th and 6th grade for 21 years. I received my bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Adams State University, my masters degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation from Adams State University and a masters degree in Mathematical Leadership from the University of Northern Colorado.
