Meet Steven Ray Parker
Teacher Ambassador
Poudre School District invests in its teachers. I feel supported in every aspect of my career, from ongoing professional development to teacher efficacy in my classroom and department. Our district's motto is "Educate Every Child, Every Day." The primary goal in our district is to create a safe learning environment so that every student receives a whole-child education every single day.

Why I Teach
I teach because I know it only takes one teacher in a student's academic career to instill a lifelong desire to continue growing as a learner and compassionate human being. Teaching Language Arts is a blessing. We read and write and discuss topics that span the course of human history and experience. More importantly, for me, is to be a model for treating others with dignity and respect. When students write or visit me and mention something they learned in my class has helped them along their journey, I am reminded that teaching is more than a job for me; it is, in fact, a path in life that has an immediate impact on future generations.
